How tungsten carbide spraying works

For tungsten carbide spraying, the thickness and quality of the coating depend on different processes, and different processes also determine the differences between coatings. In general, there are three kinds of tungsten carbide spraying processes, and for these three processes, the raw materials, equipment and work processes are different.


1: JP8000 tungsten carbide spraying process, with JP8000 equipment to increase the hardness HV1200 hard coating.


2: KN3000 tungsten carbide spraying process is to spray tungsten carbide coating with oxyacetylene process.


3: Vacuum tungsten carbide atomization treatment, high-precision tungsten carbide coating. Tungsten carbide coating has the characteristics of high hardness, good wear resistance and small thermal deformation.

The thickness of the tungsten carbide coating depends on the process. The vacuum evaporation coating thickness is thinner. The coating thickness of JP8000 equipment is 1mm, but our regular thickness selection is 0.3-0.5mm. In addition, the hardness of carbonization is above HV1200, which is already very hard, so you can choose a relatively thin one, such as 0.1mm, which is enough to wear. The raw material used for tungsten carbide spraying is tungsten carbide hexagonal material, which has the luster of metal and the hardness of the preparation is similar to that of diamond. And is a good conductor for electricity and heat. The tungsten carbide coating has the characteristics of tungsten carbide, which has the effect of being insoluble in water, and will not be integrated into water when it encounters the water surface, and it is difficult to dissolve in the mixed acid of nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid. Adding a small amount of titanium properties and cobalt and other metal elements can greatly reduce the brittleness of tungsten carbide spraying, thereby enhancing its hardness. Tungsten carbide is used as a cutting tool for steel, and titanium carbide is usually added, which can be said to improve the ability to resist bursting for their mixture, and from another point of view, it increases the density of the coating sprayed with tungsten carbide.
