Uses of Flat Gate Valves:

Flat gate valve is suitable for natural gas, petroleum, chemical, environmental protection, urban pipelines, gas pipelines and other transmission pipelines, venting systems and steam storage devices, used as opening and closing equipment. Z43 single-gate flat gate valve with diversion orifice is suitable for long-distance pipelines for natural gas extraction and purification.

Flat gate valves with deflector orifice are used for pipelines that require ball pigging, and plate gate valves without deflector orifice are used for pipelines that do not require ball pigging.

Description of the structure of a flat gate valve

1. There are two forms of valve body, the general nominal pressure ≤ 2.5MPa, or the casting flat structure when ≤ 300Lb, and the casting round structure when > 2.5MPa or >300Lb.

2. The valve seat is a rigid floating valve seat inlaid with PTFE or filled with PTFE sealing ring, which has a double sealing effect, and the valve seat is tightened by the end ○-type ring screw, and the piston effect of the floating valve seat reaches the simultaneous sealing of the inlet and outlet, this double sealing structure makes the valve body cavity completely isolated from the channel, and the valve can be overhauled in the working state to eliminate the residue in the body cavity.

3. The ram plate is a rectangular parallel plate, which opens a through hole (with a diversion hole) with the same diameter as the channel, or can not open the hole (without a diversion hole), when the full opening, the channel is smooth for the straight pipe section, the flow resistance coefficient is low, the pressure loss is small, the ram and the valve seat are always in contact with each other when opening and closing, and the particles and dirt attached to the sealing pair can be wiped off, and the sealing surface can be protected from being directly washed by the medium.

Features of Flat Gate Valve:

1. The sealing structure of the valve seat should be elastic and preloaded, and the upstream and downstream sealing seats should be sealed at the same time. The seat is always sealed face to face with the seal.

2. The valve seat has a self-cleaning function, and is not directly washed by the air flow during the opening or closing of the valve. The seat should be made of lubricated, non-abrasive material.

3. The failure of the valve actuator will not affect the other parts of the valve, and the repair and replacement work can be carried out without removing the valve.
